Made in Europe

Fashion and Cultural Exchange

Initiated by biber magazine, the Made in Europe fashion show took place on 22 May 2014, just three days before the European Parliament elections.

Held at the Anker-Expedithalle in Vienna, the event featured collections by young fashion designers from across Europe. Bringing together different cultural backgrounds and approaches to fashion, the show reflected the diversity of the European Union.

Designers Celene Venosa and Michael Ellinger presented their Koinobori Collection - with each piece constructed from repurposed materials and Japanese carp streamers. Their work showcased creative reuse through upcycled fashion, embodying themes of resilience, transformation, and cultural fluidity.

Special thanks to photographer Verena Mandragora for capturing the event, and to shoe designers Rosa Mosa for providing the footwear that completed the collection on the runway.
