Sustainable and Collaborative Projects

The Design Lab presents a selection of Celene Venosa's fashion and textile work, workshops and cultural collaborations over the years. Working with cultural organisations such as the kokemoos association, she explored Japanese traditions, materials and craftsmanship through contemporary design.

Sustainability has been an important part of many of these projects, from repurposing textiles and reinterpreting traditional garments to introducing children to the creative possibilities of working with existing materials.

"I see design as the meeting point of creativity and problem-solving. Whether developing a garment, creating a pattern or reimagining existing materials through upcycling, I enjoy finding solutions that are both practical and expressive. For me, creativity means working with the knowledge, skills and materials at hand to bring an idea to life or give something existing a new purpose."
